Bed and Bert

On the edge of Leuven, in the shadow of the Vlierbeek Abbey and close to the provincial domain in Kessel-Lo, you can stay at Bert's!

As a guest you have a beautiful room and bathroom on the first floor and, if desired, breakfast can be served in the guest living room or you can use the breakfast kitchen yourself.

Born in Leuven and raised in Herent, I now call Kessel-Lo my home. I enjoy the nice neighborhood, the city within cycling and bus distance and nature nearby. I like being on the road and I like it when people and stories blow in when I am at home. Fascinated by beautiful interiors with combinations of second-hand items and affordable design items, I also like to get my hands dirty. The guest areas have just been completely renovated: in the cheerful yellow living room the sun always seems to shine and in the new bathroom it provides an instant happy (pink) feeling.

Bert crossed my path when he was recycled by a friend from a second-hand shop in Amsterdam a few years ago. It wasn't love at first sight with the somewhat faded doll, but I decided to give Bert a chance: if he survived the washing machine, he could stay! So Bert stayed and since then he stood on the lookout to welcome guests!! However, the bright sun has faded Bert a bit and since then he has - as befits a real star - a stand-in and help from his Muppet friends!
